Media Resources

As part of its core mission, IPR works with media organizations to help disseminate the results of its faculty’s research. Additionally, members of the national and international press often call upon IPR faculty to share their expertise and insights on current news topics.

About IPR

IPR is an interdisciplinary research institute founded in 1968 that seeks to support its fellows' research on significant public policy issues and to disseminate this research widely through events, media, publications, and its website.

Throughout the year, IPR organizes a variety of events on research and policy-relevant topics, which unless otherwise stated, are free of charge and open to the public.

Its signature colloquium series takes place every Monday from noon to 1 p.m from September to June, excluding breaks and holidays.

Four other colloquium series also take place over the year:

Policy research briefings

Policy research briefings are held two to three times per year on topical subjects relevant to local, state, and/or national policy issues. Following faculty presentations, the floor is opened up for questions.

Distinguished public policy

Distinguished public policy lectures feature speakers who typically straddle the worlds of policymaking and academia.

Co-sponsored events

IPR also co-sponsors events and workshops with other departments and organizations.
