Measure Water Insecurity

Measuring water insecurity is a way to quantify experiences with access and use of water for consumption, hygiene, and other daily needs. The WISE Scales can be used by scientists, program developers, community leaders, and policy makers to understand the prevalence of water insecurity in a disaggregated way, track its changes over time, and understand how water insecurity relates to other indicators of health and wellbeing.

Use the WISE Scales to measure water insecurity.

This section will explain how to implement the WISE Scales, including: who is already using the WISE Scales to measure water insecurity and frequently asked questions about the scales.
