2009 Cluster-Randomized Trials
The Summer Training Institute on Cluster-Randomized Trials is an initiative of the National Center for Education Research (NCER) in the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education. Northwestern University and Vanderbilt University are working with NCER to implement the Summer Training Institute with venues that alternate between the two campuses.
The purpose of the IES Summer Training Institute is to increase the national capacity of researchers to develop and conduct rigorous evaluations of the impact of education interventions. The course sessions will provide intensive training on planning and conducting cluster randomized trials.
The 2009 Summer Institute will be held from June 21 to July 3 on the campus of Vanderbilt University.
Vanderbilt University is centrally located in Nashville, Tennessee. Classroom instruction will take place in the Wyatt Center at Vanderbilt’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development. Institute participants will be housed at the Embassy Suites Hotel within walking distance of Vanderbilt University.
Applications for the 2009 institute will be accepted between January 19, 2009, and March 20, 2009.
