IES Summer Research Training Institute:
Cluster-Randomized Trials (CRT) Summer Institute
July 15 to July 26, 2012

Principal Investigator: Spyros Konstantopoulos, PhD

The National Center for Education Research (NCER) in the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education is supporting its Sixth Training Institute on Cluster-Randomized Trials during the summer of 2012. The IES Summer Training Institute's aim is to increase the national capacity of researchers to develop and conduct rigorous evaluations of the impact of education interventions. The course sessions will provide intensive training on planning, implementing, and analyzing data for cluster-randomized trials.

Admission to the Summer Training Institute takes place through a competitive application process. The Institute requires a $250 registration fee, and successful applicants will receive financial support for travel to and from the training site, lodging, meals, and course materials.

The 2012 Summer Institute will be held from July 15 to 26 at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Applications for the 2012 Institute will be accepted from Wednesday February 1, 2012, until Friday, March 16, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. EST.
